Trunk or Treat

Happy Halloween! Tonight we went to our church's Trunk or Treat event. A whole bunch of cars line up in the parking lot and the kids go from car to car getting candy. They had a bounce house and a few games, but Ada-Grace was more interested in the playground. She just loves the slide! Daddy's favorite part of the evening was getting to sit in the K.I.T.T. car from the TV show Knight Rider. I have no idea why the car was there - but it was a hit! And mommy's favorite part of the night? Getting her hair to go back into a ponytail! You'll see in the pictures.

Dallas Arboretum in the Fall

There is nothing like the Dallas Arboretum!! It doesn't matter what time of year you visit, it is always beautiful. But my favorite time of year at the Arboretum is definitely fall! They decorate the whole grounds with pumpkins, gourds and all kinds of fall flowers and plants. There is a special section for the kids with pumpkin houses, hay and a petting zoo. There is even a professional photographer set-up to get a posed picture.

Ada-Grace and I meet up with our gang of friends (Heather and Joseph; Casey and Blake; Kristen, Ethan and Abby) a couple of weeks ago. We were so hopeful to get a great group picture by the professional photographer. It's the fourth picture...you be the judge! But all in all it was a great time!

More Fall Fun

The PTA I'm in hosted a pumpkin painting event for the kids. Ada-Grace actually held the paintbrush and "decorated" her pumpkin. She is very proud of her pumpkin. It's now in her room and she likes to point at it every morning when she wakes up. The last two pictures are from her 18 month photo shoot. I just love that toothy grin!

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Fall is in the air and we're ready to celebrate! We joined Casey & Blake, Kristen, Ethan & Abby at the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch last week. It was so much fun! They had bounce houses and wooden cut-outs for the kids, along a huge pumpkin patch. We also took a hay ride and had a picnic out there too! We brought home 2 pumpkins and some gourds for our front porch. Welcome Fall!

School Days

Ada-Grace started school in September! Well really, it's a Mother's Day Out program run by our church. She goes one day a week for 5.5 hours. It has been a rough start for her. But we are very hopeful she will really start to enjoy. Last week was her best day yet!
